Fr. Chris was born in Laredo, TX on June 27, 1986 and is the second of three children. He lived 15 years in Veracruz, Mexico and in 2001 moved to Corpus Christi and graduated from Ray H.S. in 2004. That same year he entered seminary formation.

Fr. Chris was ordained on June 8, 2013 after completing his seminary formation at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston. His first assignment was as parochial vicar in Sacred Heart in Mathis for 2 years and then for 4 years at St. Patrick in Corpus Christi where he worked closely with the parochial school.

His motivation for ministry comes from Psalm 27:8 “Seek His face.” This serves as a constant reminder of our universal calling to holiness and that we should settle for nothing less than being in His presence, and that all of our actions should be directed to that end.
